Earlier this week, Kia released the starting price of the renewed Rio. The facelifted hatchback is in the order books from € 19,995. For that amount you get the keys to the 100 hp Rio 1.0 T-GDI MHEV ComfortLine in your hands. Of course that is not the only variant that Kia offers. The Rio is available in various versions and not only has a version with a 120 hp version of the new mild-hybrid T-GDI, but is also available with both an iMT manual and a DCT7 automatic transmission. 100 hp 1.0 T-GDI

The Rio with 100 hp mild-hybrid 1.0 T-GDI is, as said, for just under 20 grand on the price list. That amount is for the ComfortLine. This variant of the 1.0 is always linked to the new iMT manual transmission from Kia, a transmission that automatically disconnects the engine and transmission as soon as the driver releases the accelerator pedal. The 100 hp 1.0 T-GDI is available in the following versions:

120 hp 1.0 T-GDI

The 120 hp version of the all-new mild-hybrid 1.0 T-GDI provides more pizzazz. This machine can be linked to the new iMT manual gearbox, but is also available with a seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch. As far as versions are concerned, there is less to choose than with the 100 hp 1.0 T-GDI. The most powerful engine version, just like the 100 hp version, can be dressed up as a sporty GT-Line and that is the only version where the 120 hp 1.0 is available in combination with the manual gearbox.
