Connect to Wi-Fi on Mac

Surf the internet wirelessly? On the Mac computer, simply connect to Wi-Fi.


Almost everyone has a WiFi connection at home, a wireless internet connection. As a result, cables are no longer necessary to connect a computer to the internet. You do need the password for the internet connection. You received this from the internet provider. Connect to Wi-Fi on Mac (as of 10.13. High Sierra) in the following way:

  • At the top right of the menu bar, click the dashes icon Wi-Fi or the slice of pie Wi-Fi.
  • If Wi-Fi is turned off, click Turn on Wi-Fi and then click the dashes icon again.
  • A list of all nearby Wi-Fi networks appears. Click on your network.
  • Enter the corresponding password and click Connect.

Is the Wi-Fi network icon not in the menu bar? Then perform the following steps:

  • Click on the Apple logo in the top left Apple logo.
  • click on System Preferences.
  • click on Network.
  • Click on the left Wi-Fi.
  • Put a tick in front of Show wifi status in menu bar.

  • Close the window via the ball with cross in the top left of the window.
