This way you can control the iPhone remotely with your Apple Watch
You may immediately wonder why you would want that, but sometimes the function can be quite useful. This allows you, for example, to adjust the volume on your iPad. Handy if your son has the iPad set too loudly and does not want to (or cannot) turn it down himself. You do not have to take the tablet away immediately. The function can also be useful if the iPad screen is damaged, so you can still perform some basic functions.

But there are more things you can do remotely. For example, you can launch the App Switcher, call up Siri or open the control panel. You can also go to the next or previous song and pause the music. The options are limited, but sometimes it can come in handy.
Before you can control the iPhone remotely, you need to take care of a number of things. For example, you must be logged in with the same iCloud account on both devices. In addition, both devices must be connected to the same WiFi network. So you cannot take over the iPhone if, for example, you left it with your parents.

Have you done that once? Then you can get started. To remotely control your iPhone or iPad with your Apple Watch, first open the ‘Settings’ on your watch. Scroll down and choose ‘Accessibility’. Scroll down again and tap ‘Control nearby devices’. Then choose your iPhone.
You can also find this feature on your iPhone or iPad. For example, you can remotely control your iPhone with your iPad. There you also tap ‘Settings > Accessibility > Control nearby devices’. Then you need to tap ‘Control nearby devices’ again and choose the Apple device you want to use remotely.
