Corona rules on holiday and on trips

Corona rules on holiday and on trips Despite corona, still on holiday or going out in your own country? Planning a trip is difficult with different corona rules everywhere. Because where do which rules apply?

Every country and every public place has its own corona measures. That makes it confusing to prepare for a vacation or outing. Is a place open? Is it mandatory to wear a face mask? Or do I have to have a corona-free statement when I enter a country, for example? We collect the travel guides where you can find this information.

The ANWB has drawn up a Travel Guide for outings in the Netherlands. This includes information about, for example, campsites, museums, amusement parks and zoos in the Netherlands.

  • Go to the ANWB Travel Guide Netherlands.
  • Below an introductory text is a long table with facilities about which the ANWB collects information. Sometimes the information is in this table, sometimes a separate overview has been made for it. In that case, click or tap View the overview to view the information.

At the top of each overview is the date on which the information was last updated. If you feel that the information is out of date, go to the website of a relevant location.

The ANWB also keeps track of the conditions for a visit to an EU country.

  • Go to the ANWB Travel Guide Europe.
  • Under an introductory text, recent changes to corona measures in Europe are mentioned. The various travel advice is broken down under ‘Status per holiday country’. It states what the restrictions of the travel advice are. The countries to which the relevant travel advice applies are listed below. Click or tap a country for more precise information.

A new page opens. It describes the general guidelines and travel restrictions. Just like what facilities are open or closed and whether wearing a mouth cap is mandatory. Always pay close attention to the date the information was last edited. If you feel that the information is out of date, please refer to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

There is an official travel advice for all countries in the world, drawn up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Information about restrictions due to the coronavirus is also included in this. However, much detailed information about where a face mask is mandatory, or which tourist attractions are open, is not given. Read in the tip ‘Check the travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ how to check the most recent travel advice for a country. This can be done via a special app or via the website.
