Many marketing agencies are working overtime in the run-up to the Geneva Salon. This is also the case with Cupra, since just recovered from the unveiling of the Leon, a new car is in the starting blocks. For the first time we see the production-ready Formentor through the official channels.
Seat, and with it Cupra, now officially confirms what news they are coming to the show floor in Geneva. During the press conference of the Cupra Leon it became clear through and through that the Formentor is going to experience its public debut in Geneva, but now it is black and white. To give the announcement a little more power, the car is now even being tested. In the dark we see the back of the new Formentor. As expected, Cupra is sticking firmly to its model car presented last year.
Exactly a year ago, Cupra showed that conscious Formentor concept car. That harbinger was already quite ready for production for Cupra’s first really own model. To date, Seats sister brand continued to build on the models of the parent company. The show car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that is good for 245 hp. Chances are that the same powertrain will find its way to the production-ready Formentor, because the Cupra Leon is already equipped with that powertrain. Fully electric, this powertrain is good for 60 electrically driven kilometers.
The Formentor will make its debut early next week. The car is then in all likelihood just after the summer at the dealers.
