Cupra will soon be expanding the Formentor delivery range with the Formentor VZ5, a powerful top version with a five-cylinder petrol engine.
The 310 hp Cupra Formentor 310 2.0 TSI 4Drive is currently the top version of the Cupra range. He will soon have to recognize his superior in the Formentor VZ5. For that, the Spaniards leave the 2.0 TSI for what it is, because it gets a five-cylinder.
That can only mean one thing: the Cupra Formentor gets the 2.5 five-cylinder from Audi as the beating heart. Cupra will keep technical specifications under its hat until the unveiling on 22 February. The most recently unveiled five-cylinder Audis are the RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback, SUVs in which the 2.5 is good for 400 hp and 480 Nm. With that power, the pair sprint to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds.

Cupra already shows a shadowy plate of the rear of the Formentor VZ5. It shows that the future king of the Formentor range is getting a fierce diffuser at the bottom of his bottom, an ornament in which two tailpipes placed diagonally above each other are given a place on either side. The Formentor 310, which is relegated to sub-topper after the arrival of the VZ5, has two tailpipes placed next to each other on either side of the rear bumper.
