The Cupra Leon is only available as a plug-in hybrid in the Netherlands. The 1.4 e-Hybrid powertrain delivers 245 hp. Cupra is also bringing a mild hybrid to the Netherlands for those who are less than 95 hp and would rather not have a plug-in hybrid but a mild hybrid powertrain. The mild-hybrid Cupra Leon has a 150 hp and 250 Nm strong 1.5 eTSI that is also available in the Seat Leon and Volkswagen Golf.
The mild-hybrid Cupra Leon has a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and sprints as a five-door hatchback to 100 km / h in 8.7 counts. The Cupra Leon Sportstourer with this powertrain needs 8.9 seconds for the same sprint. The top speed of the Cupra Leon with 1.5 eTSI is 214 km/h. The Sportstourer runs marginally faster with a top speed of 216 km/h. The average consumption is 5.9-6.0 l/100 km. Incidentally, the Cupra Leon is available in countries such as Germany with various other powertrains. For example, the Cupra Leon exists with a 204 hp plug-in hybrid e-Hybrid powertrain, with a non-mild hybrid 150 hp 1.5 TSI, with 190 hp, 245 hp and 300 hp 2.0 TSIs and with a 2.0 TDI of 150 hp.
The mild-hybrid Cupra Leon is currently only coming to the Netherlands as a Business and Business Edition Plus, in hatchback and Sportstourer body styles. The fiscal starting prices – excluding costs for roadworthiness – start at €40,455.
