British branch: ‘No big deal!’
Anyone who wants to order a new Dacia online in the United Kingdom and does so today (i.e. on Black Friday) will be disappointed. Dacia is not participating in the sales frenzy.
Dacia likes to profile itself as a down-to-earth brand and apparently the British branch of Dacia does not think that fits in with Black Friday. Today (or actually all week), companies are falling over each other to attract the most customers with the highest discounts. Madness that Dacia apparently likes to ignore.
Anyone who visits the brand’s British website will see an announcement that no online orders can be placed today. Even if you try to open the configurator, you will be disappointed. The statement included: “We have closed our online sale for Black Friday. We already offer great value for money all year round. It’s no big deal!” A nice piece of marketing. The British brand director explains the move: “Black Friday can easily encourage consumers to buy products they do not need. That is not what Dacia stands for.”
The British can undoubtedly order a new Dacia from a physical dealer today. Here in the Netherlands it is just a day like any other on Dacia.nl. In any case, you don’t have to count on a Black Friday deal here either.
