Jump ‘GTI’ from €23,400

The cheapest electric car in the Netherlands will just get 44 percent more power. We are of course talking about the electric Dacia Spring, which now also gets a 65 hp variant.
The Dacia Spring is by far the least expensive full-fledged electric car you can buy in the Netherlands. For €21,750 you get into a compact five-door EV that simply offers space for five occupants. Of course the friendly price tag has to come from somewhere and so the electric Spring is modestly motorized. Until now, the Spring has always had a 45 hp and 125 Nm strong electric motor that helps the Spring to a speed of 100 km / h in 19.1 seconds. For those who want more Spring fun, there is now a brand new version that just has a small 45 percent more power.
We welcome: the Dacia Spring Extreme. The Dacia Spring Extreme is a new version that is 65 hp and 113 Nm strong. It therefore has 20 hp more than the already known versions, although the maximum torque is slightly lower at 113 Nm. The new, more powerful electric motor makes the Spring Extreme a relative speed monster. You can zoom to 100 km/h in 13.7 seconds, so during that sprint it is almost 6 seconds faster than the 45 hp version. You can reach a speed of 50 km/h in just 3.86 seconds. The 45 hp Spring needed 5.8 seconds to do that.
The battery pack simply measures 26.8 kWh, although the range of the Spring Extreme at 220 kilometers is slightly lower than that of the 45 hp Spring (230 kilometers). The top speed of the Dacia Spring Extreme is identical at 125 km/h.
Dacia immediately revises the delivery range of the Dacia Spring. From now on there are only two versions: Essential and Extreme. The Dacia Spring Essential retains its 45 hp electric motor, the 65 hp electric heart is reserved for the new Dacia Spring Extreme. The new stronger Dacia Spring has a starting price of €23,400. The first units will be delivered in the summer.
