iPhone 16 gets a new design
Apple is working on a new design for the iPhone 16, the first drawings of which have now been leaked. Thanks to the schematic designs, we know what the next iPhone will look like, with the camera island in particular standing out. With the iPhone 16, Apple opts for two lenses that are placed directly below each other. The iPhone 15 actually has a camera island with diagonally placed lenses.

The design is reminiscent of the iPhone X, where Apple placed two cameras in this way for the first time. The leaked design confirms previous rumors, which also predicted that the camera island will change on the iPhone 16. This is probably the design of the ‘normal’ iPhone 16, because the phone has two cameras. On the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) there are three, which are probably placed in the same way as on the iPhone 15 Pro (Max).
Action button comes to the iPhone 16
In addition, the design reveals that the iPhone 16 will have a new button. Last year, Apple introduced the action button on the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), where you can choose which function is added to the button. This year we will also see the action button on the regular iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus. So you don’t have to buy an iPhone 16 Pro (Max) for the feature.
With the iPhone 16, Apple finally says goodbye to the muteswitch, which only allowed you to put the phone on silent. Previously, there were rumors that Apple is also working on a new design for the volume buttons. In addition, the iPhone had one large volume button. It seems that this design will not make it to the finish line, because in the leaked images we see two separate buttons again.
This is when the next iPhone will arrive
In addition, we also see the Dynamic Island in the design of the iPhone 16. It is quite possible that Apple will decide to adjust the design later. The drawings that have emerged are only first designs. Apple is now trying out different designs, and the final design will only be chosen later. In any case, it seems certain that the camera island will be overhauled with the iPhone 16.

We still have to wait a while for the next iPhone, because it won’t be released until September.
