The font in the Mail app in Windows 10 is Calibri by default. But you can also write your emails in other fonts.
Customize font
Sometimes it’s nice to use a different font than usual in an email. For example with a festive invitation. Do it like this:
- Open the Mail app.
- click on new e-mail.
- Click in the text area to place the cursor there.
- Click on the tab at the top layout if this tab is not already open.
- Click the arrow next to ‘Font’. Can’t you see this? First click on the ‘Character format’ icon. That’s a down arrow icon.
- Click on the desired font.
- Click the arrow next to ‘Font size’ to set the size. If the menu is already gone, first click on the ‘Character Format’ icon again.
- Click on the desired size.
Everything you write in this e-mail, you type in the chosen font.
Change default font
Do you want to send all the emails you write in a different font? Then change this via the settings of the program.
- Click the ‘Settings’ icon at the bottom left .
- click on Default Font.
- Select an account or check the box Apply to all accounts.
- Click the arrow next to ‘Font’.
- Click on the desired font.
- The sample text now changes to this font. Click the arrow next to ‘Font size’ to set the size.
- Click on the desired size.
- click on Save.
