About three weeks ago we launched our own app. Today, thanks to your feedback, we are releasing the first update, which, in addition to improvements, also adds a new dynamic app icon.
The first iPhone app update
When the iPhone app came out on June 12, you started downloading en masse. Thousands of iPhoned readers now read our articles via the app, and we are of course very happy with that.
Our mailbox was also full of feedback and suggestions to improve the app. We received the most criticism on the app icon, which with the red-haired doll did not really match the content. We agree, so we designed a new icon.

This was also a great time to add a new feature of iOS 10.3.3. Depending on the day or night mode, the icon is given a white or black background. You do this by opening the app’s menu, going to Settings and selecting Day or Night under Day and night mode.
In addition to the app icon, the update also fixes some bugs and imperfections. The images above articles are now always sharp and Facebook and Twitter posts that are put into articles can now be viewed properly. Also, some users did not receive a notification from the weekly overview, even though they had ticked this.

Send your feedback (and your app reviews)
After this first update, we are far from finished improving and optimizing our app. All feedback is still more than welcome, because you as users often look at the app slightly differently. What is also more than welcome is a review in the App Store.
With this, Apple sees that the app is appreciated, so that we can reach new readers. Every review helps enormously, and because we have updated the app, anyone who has previously left a review can enter one again.
Thanks in advance and see you next update!
