Driving schools are allowed to continue giving driving lessons from 3 March. This is related to the relaxation of the corona measures announced on Tuesday.
With the start of the current lockdown in mid-December, driving lessons also came to a sudden end. Now the driving schools can pick up the work again. The government announced on Tuesday evening that the majority of contact professions can return to work, which also includes driving schools. As of March 3 it is therefore allowed to give driving lessons again. That is the first time in 2.5 months.
Earlier this month there were already demonstrations by driving school owners, because the water would be on the lips of some. The relaxation is therefore very welcome, to say the least. Of course, the driving schools will adhere to various safety protocols to keep the risk of contamination with the corona virus as small as possible, including the triage meeting beforehand, but possibly also wearing a face mask in the car.
For the time being, the question is when driving exams will again be held by the CBR. Theory exams and practical exams for the car will not take place immediately from 3 March. According to Driving school pro the first practical exams are ‘expected to be run one week after the restart’. So in the week of March 8. Theory exams are currently a more difficult story, because of the classroom administration. This may require further relaxation of the measures.
