But not at the top…

DS of course already has a brand name that refers to an impressive piece of Citroën history, but another well-known name is now returning: Pallas. That will be another performance, but not the most elegant one.
In the past, if you bought a new Citroën with a Pallas badge on it, you were in for a good deal. It started with the DS Pallas, the crème de la crème among DSs. There was also a successor CX as Pallas and even the lower-ranking GS. It remains to be seen how clearly the Pallas name will resonate with current DS buyers. Still, DS sees it as a good time to dust off that name for a new equipment level.
Remarkably, Pallas will not soon become the highest equipment level at DS. That will be the completely new Étoile. From next month it will remain with those two, to keep things clear. For Citroën enthusiasts it may be a bit confusing that you have actually paid attention to the money with a DS Pallas. How different it used to be. Anyway, from a marketing perspective it is of course explainable that ‘Pallas is already the basis’ at DS. In that sense it is understandable.
