Boorman and McGregor’s adventures with BMW and recently Harley-Davidson have undoubtedly given Ducati an idea, as the “Ducati Multistrada V4 Silk Road Grand Tour” 5-part documentary will be published on Ducati’s own website in the coming months.
The documentary “Ducati Multistrada V4 Silk Road Grand Tour” is an adventure with the Multistrada V4 through China, divided into five episodes published monthly on Ducati’s digital channels. The first episode of the series is already available on the Ducati.com website.
According to Ducati, “Ducati Multistrada V4 Silk Road Grand Tour” is a unique driving story aboard the Multistrada V4 that emphasizes the beauty and unique cultures of iconic locations in China, while at the same time reflecting the qualities and versatility of the Multistrada V4, experienced during this journey ” has once again proven to be the perfect companion on all types of terrain.”
The filming of the documentary lasted about two months, during which the Multistrada V4 covered more than 10,000 km, crossed five different provinces and 2,000 years of history. The journey reached locations such as the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, the Gobi Desert, the tropical rainforests of Yunnan, and the mountain city of Chongqing.
In each of the five episodes, a special rider illustrates a different aspect of the Multistrada V4 and writes a page of this route to discover the local traditions and the unique landscapes.
In the first episode, Zhao Hongyi, the first Chinese rider to complete the Dakar rally, brings his family to discover the wild beauty of Xinjiang.
In the second episode, Wen Congping and 9 representatives of Ducati dealers in China travel along the road connecting Wuhan to Suizhou to participate in a charity project together with “Shangzhen Central Primary School”.
In the third episode, the Multistrada V4 faces the mountain roads of the city of Chongqing, ridden by Xu Qun, an expert in the automotive sector.
The fourth episode instead stars the tropical forest of Yunnan with the influencer Chen Zhen who was able to appreciate the versatility of the Multistrada V4 on a diverse and colorful route.
Finally, in the fifth episode, Luo Hao and singer Mao Chuan traverse the vast grasslands of Inner Mongolia and experience the sense of freedom typical of motorbike travel in company.
