Enjoy the peace and quiet in the countryside, but in the meantime have the opportunity to run off like a hare? That is what the British Everrati now makes possible. The restomod builder is expanding its range of refurbished 911s of the 964 generation with a convertible: this is the Everrati 911 Wide Body Cabriolet.

If you want to drive homeless and electrically, there is not much to choose from. You can go for a convertible at both Fiat (for the 500th) and Smart, but those two do not offer fully open driving. Moreover, they are unsuitable for the real speed demons. Everrati now offers a solution for them. The British manufacturer of restomods already offered a Targa variant of its electric Porsche 964, but is now completely off the roof with its Wide Body Cabriolet. And the performance figures don’t lie.

Everrati offers two options for the powertrain: a 440 or 500 hp electric motor on the rear axle. The battery pack that supplies that motor with the necessary power always measures 62 kWh. That is good for a driving range of roughly 320 kilometers, provided you handle the power pedal carefully. If you don’t, you have the option to mess up your hair and sprint from 0 to 100 km/h within 4 seconds (with the most powerful variant).

The interior, in which Everrati, among other things, replaces a number of clocks, will also be completely renovated. But what is that poker doing there?

donor car

Like the Coupé and Targa variant, you can order the 911 Wide Body Cabriolet in Pure, Signature and Gulf Signature versions. The latter wears the characteristic blue-orange. However, you should always supply a donor-964 Cabriolet yourself. The company has not yet disclosed what the – incidentally reversible – conversion at Everrati will cost. Expect around €300,000, since the prices for the coupé remain just below that.

If you prefer to have another model converted, Everrati is open to ideas. They already have the knowledge for converting a Ford GT40 or Mercedes-Benz SL ‘Pagoda’, for other models you can apply. The conversions of the 911s take place in both the United States (California) and the United Kingdom.

Not only the gear lever, but also the exhausts may remain in place.
