The Dutch car market is another Chinese brand richer. The Belgian importer of the Chinese JAC has appointed a Dutch dealer, Automotive Management reports.
According to Automotive Management goes the Belgian importer E-drive marketing JACs in the Netherlands via Auto Gelissen Sittard. JAC Motors is a Chinese state-owned company whose origins date back to 1964. The company has a huge range of models worldwide, although one is currently on the market in the Netherlands.
SOL E20X
The first JAC to be supplied by Auto Gelissen Sittard, a Mitsubishi dealer, is the iEV7S. It is an electric version of the JAC Refine 2, a 4.14 meter long crossover. It has a 116 hp and 270 Nm strong electric motor on the front wheels. There is a 39 kWh battery pack in the ground that gives the car a NEDC driving range of about 280 kilometers. In China, the iEV7S is also sold by SOL, a partnership between Volkswagen and Seat. The E20X, called electric crossover, also has a body, which differs from the front and rear of the iEV7S. The JAC iEV7S has a starting price of € 29,900 in the Netherlands, as can be read on the dealer’s website.
JAC iEV7S
The iEV7S is the first, but probably not the last EV imported by the Belgian E-Drive to come to the Netherlands. According to reports from Automotive Online, the Dutch dealer network must eventually grow to about 25 units, mainly Mitsubishi dealers. E-Drive also imports a small Chinese city car, the Zhidou D2S and the Cenntro Metro and Nextom Orca. The latter two are small electric commercial vehicles.
