Electric Ford E-Transit is coming

Next month, Ford will pull the curtain on the E-Transit, the electrically powered version of its successful delivery van.

Ford still has a success with the Transit, but in the field of electrification it has to find the connection again. Here in Europe we now have electric versions of cars such as the Peugeot Expert, Citroën Jumpy, Opel Vivaro and Toyota ProAce. Bigger boys such as the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer are also equipped with an electric powertrain. Time for the Ford Transit to participate. That will happen next year.

On November 15, in more than two weeks, Ford pulls the curtain off the E-Transit. That happens in the United States, where we first get to see an American electric Transit. However, Ford says that this is of course a car for global markets. We will undoubtedly get it too. By the way – just as with the competitors – do not count on a completely different appearance than you are used to. At most, a few accents and possibly a modified grille will reveal that it is an alternatively powered Transit. The Transit Smart Energy Concept from 2019 already gave a good indication in that regard. Specifications are still a big mystery, but on November 15th we know them too.
