Winged up the hill

The MG Cyberster will make its European debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The open two-seater was presented simultaneously with a tribute to the Group B rally cannon Metro 6R4 and can immediately show what it has to offer.
MG packs a punch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The 435 hp MG 4 XPower makes its public debut there, a car that is special enough with its 0-100 sprint time in just 3.8 seconds. However, MG also introduces the perhaps even more interesting Cyberster to the public during the English car party. The MG Cyberster is not yet showing the back of its tongue and that means that we still have to guess at the technical specifications of the Cyberster as it appears on the price list in the Netherlands.
MG, like the MG 4 Electric XPower, chases the Cyberster directly up the famous hill on the Goodwood estate. The Cyberster may have had even less trouble with that than the MG 4 Electric XPower, which can officially call itself the strongest MG ever so far. That title may not hold the 4 XPower for long. Because according to information previously surfaced by AutoWeek from the database of the Chinese Ministry of Transport and Information Technology, the MG Cyberster has a version with two electric motors of 544 hp together. The front electric motor of that top version delivers 204 hp and the rear one 340 hp. There also seem to be 314 hp and 340 hp versions with only rear-wheel drive. We were recently able to show you the interior of the MG Cyberster with butterfly doors in all its glory. The MG Cyberster will be for sale in the Netherlands from 2024.
The MG EX4.
MG’s latest Goodwood debutant is a creation called EX4. The EX4 is actually little more than an MG 4 Electric XPower to which MG has attached a heavy body kit. The MG EX4 is a nod to the Metro 6R4 that made various rally courses unsafe forty years ago.
