New slip-on
In the market for the new electric Mini Cooper, but is the 218 hp Cooper SE too much for you? Then go for the Mini Cooper E. It is just as electric, but several thousand euros less expensive.
In September, Mini already released the first prize for the new electric Cooper. The Mini Cooper was then placed on the Dutch price list as a 218 hp Mini Cooper SE for an amount of €38,990. This now includes a milder and therefore cheaper version: the Mini Cooper E. The Mini Cooper E has a price of €35,990 and is therefore €3,000 less expensive than its SE brother.
Everything has its price and so it is not surprising that the Mini Cooper E has less to offer than the Mini Cooper SE. While the Mini Cooper SE has a 54.2 kWh battery pack and a 218 hp and 330 Nm powerful electric heart, the Mini Cooper E has to make do with a 40.7 kWh battery and a 180 hp and 290 Nm strong electric motor. That combination is good for a 0-100 time of 7.3 seconds (Cooper SE: 6.7 seconds) and a range of 305 kilometers (Cooper SE: 402 kilometers). Fast charging is possible with up to 75 kW. Just like the Mini Cooper SE, the Cooper E will also soon roll off the production line in China.
