Peugeot is expanding its delivery range with the e-Rifter, the electric version of the Rifter. The electric variant of the passenger version of the Partner will be available at dealers from the second half of this year.
Not a week goes by today in which Stellantis does not present us with a new electrically powered variant of an already known model. Last week it was Opel that presented the Combo-e Life and today it is Peugeot that presents the electric e-Rifter. The e-Rifter is, as you probably guessed, the electric version of the Rifter, a car that in turn should be seen as the passenger version of the Partner. Peugeot’s equivalent of the Opel Combo-e Life.
It will come as no surprise to anyone that the specifications of the e-Rifter almost match those of the e-Partner. The e-Rifter also has a 136 hp and 260 Nm strong electric motor on the front axle that draws its energy from a 50 kWh battery pack. The e-Rifter reaches a speed of 100 km / h in 11.2 counts and has a top speed of 135 km / h. The electric range is 280 kilometers. The maximum charging power is 100 kW, a three-phase charger is standard. The Peugeot e-Rifter is available in two lengths: 4.4 and 4.75 meters. The short version is a five-seater, the long version is also available with seven seats. Good news for those who sometimes hang something on their towbar: the Peugeot e-Rifter has a maximum towing weight of 750 kilos.
From the outside, the e-Rifter can hardly be distinguished from its regular Rifter brothers. The interior is also almost identical, although you will now find an ‘e-Toggle’ to convert the electric Peug ‘into P, R, N or D on the spot where a transmission lever used to be.
The e-Rifter can be found in the Netherlands from the second half of this year. Prices will follow in the run-up to the market launch.
