Electric Vinfast VF8: from almost €63,000 including battery

We already wrote about the Dutch prices of the electric Vinfast VF8 and VF9 in the middle of last year. The prices that we can now report on the electric pair are much higher. This has to do with the two forms in which you can order the VF8 and VF9. You can purchase the cars via a construction where you pay for the battery packs via a monthly subscription, but you can also purchase the two EVs including battery packs. The Vinfast VF8 – which incidentally started life as VF e35 and VF32 – is a 4.75 meter long electric SUV with a wheelbase of 2.95 meters. In terms of size, you can compare the VF8 with cars such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, after all, it is about 10 centimeters longer than a Skoda Enyaq iV. The Vinfast VF8 is available as Eco and Plus. The Eco has two together 353 hp and 500 Nm strong electric motors and thus reaches a speed of 100 km / h in just under 5.9 seconds. The Plus also has two electric motors, but with a system power of 408 hp and 620 Nm, they are a bit more powerful. Both the VF8 Eco and VF8 Plus can be combined with an 82 kWh battery pack and with a larger 87.8 kWh model. The VF8 Eco comes with the 82 kWh battery 420 kilometers away and kicks it with the larger package to a range of 471 kilometers. The VF8 Plus squeezes 400 kilometers from the 82 kWh and gets 447 kilometers from the 87.7 kWh battery.

For the Vinfast VF8 Eco (353 hp) with 82 kWh battery you will have to pay €62,700 in the Netherlands. VF8 with larger 87.7 kWh battery costs €64,900, so €2,200 extra. The more powerful Vinfast VF8 Plus (408 hp) costs €69,850 with an 82 kWh battery and €73,700 with the larger package. These are the prices including battery and without subscription construction.

The Vinfast VF8 Eco stands on 19 inch light metal, has an eight-way electrically adjustable heated driver’s seat and a six-way and also heated one for the co-driver. In addition to a stronger set of electric motors, the VF8 Plus also adds a glass panoramic roof, 20-inch light metal, an automatically dimming interior mirror, a twelve-way electrically adjustable heated and ventilated driver’s seat and a ten-way adjustable one that is also heated and ventilated for the co-driver.
