The iPhone 14 Pro camera has been vastly improved over its predecessor. At least that’s what reputable experts say.
‘The camera and all processing software has been improved’

Why is the iPhone 14 Pro camera so much better?
The first noticeable change is the placement of the selfie camera. This one is now ‘hidden’ in the Dynamic Island, instead of in the notch from older iPhones. The review shows that this front camera shoots sharper photos, has a higher dynamic range and captures more detail than its predecessor: the iPhone 13 Pro.
This is partly due to a new technology: Photonic Engine. This software from Apple provides better results with photos taken with low light, or with too much backlight.
On the back of the iPhone 14 Pro: more MP, more quality?
On the back of the iPhone 14 Pro we find three sensors, including a 48 megapixel main camera. Previous flagships still had to do with 12 megapixels. A rule of thumb here is: the more megapixels a sensor has, the more details the photo contains. However, due to all automatic post-processing software, this rule of thumb no longer fully applies.

The sensor is larger and has variable focus that can create a natural depth of field effect behind the subject. In this way, the iPhone 14 Pro camera comes close to DSLR cameras. That’s also because you can shoot ProRAW photos with this iPhone.
The ultra-wide angle lens has also made strides with a larger sensor, a new design and higher ISO values. All this results in better photos in low light. All in all, Lux concludes that the iPhone 14 Pro camera has started shooting 33% better.
