Since 2016 there has been talk of the arrival of a longer version of the Bentley Bentayga. Now that the facelifted Bentayga has now appeared, Bentley is preparing for the arrival of the Bentayga LWB. This brand new set of spy plates shows that SUV with extra legroom in the back for the first time.
A year after Bentley launched the Bentayga, rumors first surfaced about the possible arrival of a Bentayga with a longer wheelbase, a version that is particularly popular in the Middle East and China. Bentley gave the Bentayga a thorough facelift earlier this year, which also marked the start of the development of the so-called Bentayga ‘LWB’ (Long Wheelbase). The brand has now started testing the extended Bentayga, which has resulted in an interesting set of spy plates.
Bentley Bentayga LWB
The carriage of the Bentley Bentayga in these photos is covered with a psychedelic sticker sheet on which the text ‘Beyond 100’ can be read. After all, the English brand is still busy celebrating its centenary. More interesting is of course the size of this Bentayga, as the test sample clearly has a longer rear door than the regular one. The distance between the front and rear axle is also significantly longer, which means that here the Bentayga LWB stretches its legs for the first time. The wheelbase of the regular Bentayga is 2.99 meters. That of the Bentayga LWB will in any case exceed three meters by far. However, don’t expect the extended Bentayga to hit the market next year.
