Are you experiencing this problem? The cause is probably ‘Protect activities in Mail’. You can temporarily solve this using the steps below.

A temporary solution

  • Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  • Navigate to ‘Mail’
  • Tap on ‘Privacy Protection’
  • Disable the ‘Protect activities in Mail’ option
  • Then turn off ‘Hide IP address’ and ‘Block external material’

On a Mac, you can turn this off via Mail â–¸ menu bar â–¸ Mail â–¸ Settings / Preferences â–¸ Privacy â–¸ uncheck the option ‘Protect Mail Activity’. You can then turn off external material and hiding your IP address.
