With the Fairphone (Gen. 6), the Dutch Fairphone is launching a striking smartphone. In addition to a Snapdragon 7S Gen 3-processor, a dynamic 50MP camera, a larger battery and a 5-year warranty, it also has 12 modular replaceable parts, so sustainable!
Fairphone is a Dutch company that leads the way in sustainable electronics and to extend the lifespan of it. Design
The device is smaller and 9% lighter than its predecessor, the Fairphone 5, and has a compact 6.31inch LTPO OLED screen that contributes to a longer battery life. To be able to use the device for almost two days, it is equipped with a larger, interchangeable softpack battery, which can easily be replaced with only seven screws. The device is equipped with Gorilla Glass 7i, a scratch-resistant screen, and has an IP55 classification for protection against dust and heavy rain. The Fairphone (Gen. 6) has been extensively tested and passes Valtests according to military standards. In addition, the device has been given the striking energy label ‘A’, in accordance with the latest EU regulations for energy efficiency, sustainability and repair bag of smartphones
Twelve modular, replaceable parts
With twelve easily replaced parts, owners can get started with a screwdriver to change parts or add accessories. From battery and screen to camera and USB port-each part is designed with an eye for ease of use and a long service life. The new accessory system clicks firmly thanks to a smart mechanism, without the device becoming thicker or heavier.
The removable back is attached to the back with just two screws and makes changing accessories easy, and offers space for finger loops, wristbands and cardholders. The aim is maximum functionality, optimum use of materials and a smartphone that can put together with the owner himself.
Five -year warranty offers new standard
The Fairphone (Gen. 6) offers software support up to 2033 and a five -year warranty and thus sets a new standard for long -term safety and reliability. A striking new function of the Fairphone (Gen. 6) is ‘Fairphone Moments’: a switchable experience that gives one phone two different modes. With a user -friendly physical switch, owners can switch between a fully equipped smartphone and a minimalist mode. This function is designed for anyone who wants to live more in the moment, seek extra focus, rest or digital balance. It offers a conscious way to deal with technology, where the owner keeps control, not the reports and push messages.
Smartphone with lowest COâ‚‚ footprint ever
De Fairphone (Gen. 6) blijft trouw aan de oorsprong van het bedrijf en bestaat voor meer dan 50% uit eerlijke en gerecyclede materialen, een flinke stap vooruit ten opzichte van de al ongeëvenaarde 42% in de Fairphone 5. Het toestel is gemaakt van 14 materialen die eerlijk zijn gewonnen of gerecycled, zoals kobalt, wolfraam, zilver en goud, maar ook gerecycled aluminium, koper, staal, zeldzame Earth metals, indium, magnesium, nickel, tin, zinc and more than 93% PCR-gerecycled plastic.
The accessories are also made of recycled materials, such as plastic and aluminum. Thanks to the use of green energy in the production of important parts such as the screen, the cameras and the battery, and at the final assembly, the producer states that this model has the lowest COâ‚‚ footprint ever of all smartphones.
