Faster photo editing in iOS 16: give all your shots the same effect

Do you want to give all your photos the same effect? With your iPhone and iOS 16 it becomes a lot easier and you never have to edit your photos separately again!

New Photo Editing Feature in iOS 16

Once back from vacation, it is often quite a job to edit your holiday snaps. Where you previously had to edit all your photos separately, it is now possible to edit only one photo on your iPhone and copy this effect to other photos. This saves a lot of work, because it allows you to give the best effect to several photos at the same time.

Faster photo editing in iOS 16: give all your shots the same effect

The option to add the effect to multiple photos is one of the new features in iOS 16. So you need to have iOS 16 installed to use this feature. To give some of your photos the same effect, follow these steps:

Copy effects to other photos in iOS 16

  1. Go to Photos and choose the photo you want to edit;

  2. Edit the photo as you want;

  3. Then click on the three dots at the top right;

  4. Tap on ‘Copy edits’;

  5. Save the edited photo;

  6. Select the photos in the photo library that you want to give the same effect;

  7. Tap the three dots at the bottom right of the screen;

  8. Select ‘Paste edits’.

Now all your selected photos have the same edit. You can only copy one post-processing at a time, so be careful when copying edits to other photos.

Also nice: the Photos app recognizes duplicate photos from iOS 16. With the push of a button you ensure that these are removed. This way you can easily make a selection of your photos and you will have to edit fewer photos!
