Ferrari releases the first images of an undoubtedly extra potent version of the already not tender 812 Superfast. The still unnamed special edition will reveal all its secrets on May 5.
The supercar corner of Autoland is a special niche to stay in. It’s a world where 800 horsepower is apparently not enough for everyone. Ferrari has had the 800 hp 812 Superfast on the menu since 2017, an exotic delicacy that will soon have to recognize its superior in a whopping 830 hp special version of which Ferrari is already releasing the exterior.
The still nameless superlative of the Ferrari 812 Superfast promises to be an extremely exclusive piece of Italian indulgence. Ferrari describes the new variant as a car that is meant for “[…] Ferrari’s most passionate collectors and connoisseurs. ”The new Ferrari not only looks like it prefers to devour its spectator with skin and hair, no doubt it sounds like one. The 812 Superfast releases its maximum power at 8,500 rpm, but the 830 hp of this extreme variant of it whines until the rev counter indicates at 9,500 rpm. The highest speed of a street-legal Ferrari ever. Ferrari says it has adjusted the valve timing of the 6.5 liter V12 and also reports the arrival of a completely new exhaust system .

But there’s more. For example, the extra heavy version of the 812 Superfast has four-wheel steering. In addition, Ferrari says it has made extensive use of carbon fiber to reduce weight as far as possible. This lightweight material is not only found on the outside, but should also be found in the interior of the 812 Superfast. The ‘regular’ 812 Superfast is already able to thunder to a speed of 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds. Don’t be surprised when this special limited edition blows past the original left and right.

On the outside, the fierce 812 Superfast distinguishes itself with exuberant bumpers from its already well-known brother, but there is more. For example, the newcomer has a completely new bonnet without cooling openings next to the headlights. The side mirrors are new, there are adjusted cooling openings in the front screens and behind the rear wheels we observe three new cooling slots. The list of optical modifications continues with a larger rear spoiler that covers the top of the tail lights, a truly immense diffuser at the bottom of the rear bumper and Ferrari swaps the glass tailgate of the 812 Superfast for a semi-closed aluminum one. On either side of the rear diffuser, Ferrari places two rectangular chutes and so the two sets of twin tailpipes are relegated to the wastebasket.
On to May 5!
