Can’t find anything to your liking in the fairly extensive Ferrari model range? Then don’t you just have Ferrari build a unique example that does meet your wishes? With this BR20, Ferrari provides proof that this actually happens.
Gone are the days when the Ferrari range was clear and short. In 2021, the illustrious brand has 9 cars in its range, not even counting the Icona models and the extremists of the Special Series. However, if you bring enough money to Maranello, you can also have something truly unique made.
An undoubtedly wealthy customer had Ferrari make the BR20, a one-off based on the technology of the GTC4Lusso that has since been discontinued. Although the connoisseur still sees influences from the GTC4Lusso in the front of the BR20, much of the coach is completely unique. So the BR20 is not a shooting brake-like, but a more conventional coupé with room for only two occupants. The BR20 is – thanks to a larger rear overhang – about 7.5 centimeters longer than the car with which it shares its technology.
Ferrari supplied the GTC4Lusso with a 6.3 V12 and mounted a 3.9 twin-turbo V8 in the nose of the GTC4Lusso T. This BR20 has the mighty twelve-cylinder powerplant that sent 610 hp to all four wheels in the original. Ferrari gives the unique model various extras made of carbon fiber and there is a diffuser at the bottom of the rear.
What the BR20 has cost its proud owner? Ferrari does not mention that and it is of course not very relevant. After all, for mere mortals it is simply a matter of looking at pictures.
