Basis goes through the delivery range of its models with a file and scissors. This time it is the Fiat 500X that cannot escape Fiat’s planing work. The Fiat 500X will become less expensive by up to €2,500, but will soon offer less indulgence than before.
Previously, Fiat lowered both the prices and the standard equipment of the Panda and the mild-hybrid 500 and now the Fiat 500X crossover also suffers the same fate. This means: the prices of the 500X will go down, but you will also get significantly less equipment in return. The Fiat 500X was previously available from €30,990. That unnamed basic version is now €1,500 less expensive and can be taken home from €29,490. The Sport version drops €2,500 in price and is now listed for €34,990. The entry-level version and the Sport version of the Fiat 500X Cabrio – with a rolling roof – are also becoming cheaper and cost €32,490 and €37,990 respectively.
The price reduction must be caused by something. In this case too, the price reduction is related to simplifying the equipment. For example, the basic version no longer has fog lights at the front and the height-adjustable driver’s seat, heated exterior mirrors, cruise control, speed limiter and lane departure warning have also been deleted. The Sport version does have these things, but that version will also offer less. For example, privacy glass, a driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support, a rain and light sensor, automatic high beam, electrically folding exterior mirrors and an automatically dimming interior mirror are no longer standard.
Fiat 500X
Just like with the mild-hybrid Fiat 500, the color range of the Fiat 500X is also changing. Previously, Bianco Gelato was the only free color. From now on it is the new Pasionne Red. For Bianco Gelato you now have to pay €700 – just like for the other colors. The Fiat 500X simply retains its 130 hp and 240 Nm mild-hybrid 1.5 with automatic transmission.
