First Apple event of 2024: these products have been announced

Apple’s ‘Let loose’ event

It’s been an exceptionally long wait, but yesterday Apple finally held its first event of the year. At the ‘Let loose’ event, Apple announced a number of new products and accessories. Did you miss the event on Tuesday, May 7? Then read on, because we will list all the products from the first Apple event of 2024 for you!

1. iPad Pro 2024

For the first time since 2022, Apple has announced new iPads. The iPad Pro 2024 was unveiled at the Apple event. The tablet is available in two sizes, an 11-inch version and a 13-inch version. Apple is therefore saying goodbye to the 12.9-inch display, which we still saw on the iPad Pro 2022. With the new iPad, Apple is even introducing a completely new screen, because the tablet has an OLED display.

Both versions have the new OLED screen, which gives the iPad Pro 2024 better contrast and greater color accuracy. The new screen has a peak brightness of 1000 Nits, for HDR content this is 1600 Nits. 2. iPad Air 2024

In addition to the iPad Pro, Apple also unveiled the iPad Air 2024 at the event. The tablet is available for the first time in two sizes. While the iPad Air 2022 only had a 10.9-inch version, the iPad Air 2024 has an 11- or 13-inch screen. You no longer have to rely on the more expensive iPad Pro for a larger screen. Apple has once again opted for an LCD screen for the iPad Air 2024.

The iPad Air will make the switch from the M1 to the M2 chip this year. We also see a small change on the front of the tablet, because the front camera has been moved. We now find this in the middle of the long side of the iPad Air. You can already order both the iPad Air and the iPad Pro 2024, the tablets will appear in stores on Wednesday, May 15. 3. Apple Pencil Pro

Apple not only presented new iPads at the first event of 2024, new accessories were also announced. We saw the most important update with the Apple Pencil, because Apple has unveiled a new version of the stylus. The Apple Pencil Pro has a number of useful features that make drawing and painting on your digital canvas feel even more natural.

A new ‘pinch’ feature brings a palette to the screen of your iPad. There you can change the line thickness, color or tool of the Apple Pencil Pro. In addition, the new stylus ‘barrel roll‘, which allows you to run the Apple Pencil Pro. This way you can adjust the position of your pen or brush. 4.Magic Keyboard

Finally, Apple announced a new generation of the Magic Keyboard at the 2024 Apple event. The new keyboard is specially made for the new iPad Pro and has a larger trackpad. Apple has also introduced a new design for the keyboard. The Magic Keyboard now features an aluminum wrist rest and is sleeker, which matches the iPad Pro 2024’s vastly thinner chassis.

The keyboard itself has also been expanded. For the first time, Apple has added a row of function keys to the Magic Keyboard.
