The past month may have tempered the huge growth of the beginning of this year, but sales of new motorcycles are still going strong. In the first six months, almost twelve and a half thousand motorcycles were sold, with Kawasaki as the new undisputed market leader.
In the first half of 2024, the market for new motorcycles grew to 12,440 units, a growth of no less than 13.6% compared to the 10,946 units sold to men (and of course women) in the same period last year.
Of the popular brands, BMW and Kawasaki are doing incredibly well, with growth of 26.6% and 26.9% respectively. At BMW, the growth is due to one model, the R 1300 GS, while at Kawasaki sales have seen a huge boost across the board. In the Top 25 of best-selling models above 125cc, Team Green is represented with no fewer than 7 models, with the Z900 (as it has been for years) the best-selling model.
