First MV Agusta Open House Great Success

MV Agusta’s historic Schiranna Fabriek opened its doors to the public on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June to celebrate the 80th birthday of the brand together with customers, enthusiasts, collectors and partners. Two exciting days full of passion, adrenaline and pride for a brand that has determined the history of Italian and international motorsport.

First MV Agusta Open House Great Success

Ducati started the WDW in 1998, in 2001 BMW came up with what was then called the BMW Motorrad Biker Meeting, Aprilia followed in 2002 with Open House in the racing department and since 2006 the village of Mandello del Lario has been a theater for the Moto Guzzi Open House in September. We can do that too, they thought at MV Agusta and organized the MV Agusta Open House last weekend.

The first edition of MV Agusta Open House attracted an extraordinary turnout: about 5,000 people from 36 countries – from Australia to the United States, from Chile to New Zealand, from Europe to Asia – participated in the various activities offered, including test drives and tours through the factory. And that is an exceptionally high number to say the least, which, according to MV, once again confirms the deep bond between MV Agusta and its global community.

In the course of the weekend, around 250 test drives were made, where the participants could experience the sensation of driving on an MV Agusta. Thanks to tours, more than 2,000 visitors also had the opportunity to explore the Schiranna factory from the inside – the beating heart of the company.

The presence of clubs, including the Moto Club Internazionale di Cascina Costa – a partner at the organization of the event – helped to create an even more fascinating atmosphere. Groups from all over Italy, but also from Germany, the Benelux and France, strengthened the feeling of being part of the extensive MV Agusta family.

Luca Martin, Executive Director of MV Agusta Motor Spa:

“I want to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event: our employees, partners, employees and above all the thousands of enthusiasts who chose to celebrate this important milestone with us. The celebration of the 80th birthday is not only a tribute to our history, but also a new beginning. A concrete dedication to the same passion, which is driven by the same passion”
