First produced Volkswagen ID.4 shows butt

Today is a special day for Volkswagen, because the first model of the series production ID.4 was built in its German factory in Zwickau. Nice for us: in an extensive video, the golden ID.4 shows his butt in a glimpse.

Just yesterday, Volkswagen announced that it would take only a few weeks for the new ID.4 to arrive and that electric SUV is already showing a new sign of life today. With an extensive video of more than fifteen minutes, Volkswagen shows that the very first ID.4 has been produced today. This took place in its own German factory in Zwickau: the place where the electric ID.3 also saw the light of day. The video is mainly used by Volkswagen’s brand new CEO Ralf Brandstätter reflected on the memorable moment.

At the end of the video, the gold-colored ID.4 is approved after a check and Brandstätter gets in to drive off. With the latter, the most striking part of the video takes place: the back of the ID.4 appears extensively on screen. Without camouflage material, that is. That is the first time, because Volkswagen has so far only shared sketches and photos of wildly packed ID.4s. In contrast to the ID.3, the tailgate does not promise to be delivered in a contrasting black color, but the sheet metal will be the same color. In addition, the wide light strip that runs over the entire width is also immediately noticeable.

The big reveal is expected in September. It will then take until next spring before Volkswagen delivers the ID.4.
