Fisker Pear: ‘climate neutral car in 2027’

Fisker, which has previously proclaimed itself the world’s most sustainable car manufacturer, will act in 2027 by launching a ‘climate neutral’ vehicle. It concerns the Pear, of which we now get to see something for the second time.

Electric is green, at least in marketing terms. However, for some, electric isn’t green enough. Fisker definitely belongs to that group, because the American EV builder wants to go even further than the Ocean when it comes to sustainability. In 2027, a completely climate-neutral vehicle should appear on the market. This Pear was mentioned before, but then without this important context.

Fisker is quick to say that this is not achieved by compensating on paper. The car itself must be as sustainable as possible and Fisker focuses on five phases in the life cycle. It concerns sourcing (purchasing), production, logistics, use and recycling.

By using renewable materials, CO2-neutral suppliers, clean means of transport and recycled materials, Fisker says it can achieve its ambitions. It also works with Magna Steyr, the Austrian factory that produces the brand new Fisker Ocean.

An image of a smooth-lined and as yet transparent car appears with the message. The name ‘Pear’ is not to be missed. It stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution. The car seems to be too low on the legs to be an SUV, so the first ‘green’ step seems to have been taken. We will discover at a later stage what it is and what the car can do.
