Avid Snapchat users know that getting through the Stories list is sometimes a chore. To make this a bit more manageable and easy, the Snapchat Story Playlist appears.
Snapchat Story Playlist revealed
In a blog post, Snapchat admits that the Auto Advance function that automatically plays Stories one after the other has its drawbacks. This makes it impossible to view individual Stories, while sometimes you only feel like watching the stories of specific friends.
To give users more control, the Snapchat Story Playlist is gradually being rolled out. With this you can quickly and easily tick all the Snapchat Stories you want to see, after which they will be played smoothly in succession.
You can add a video to this list by tapping a small Story icon to the left of someone’s name. When everyone is in your custom playlist, tap the Play button at the bottom of the screen to start watching. In addition, you can now simply click individual Stories to play them.
The playlist is a nice first step, but mainly seems like an interim solution. You cannot save a Story Playlist, so you will have to compile it every time. So let’s hope that a future update will let you create permanent lists. This would actually make using the app a lot faster and easier, while for many people this will be too much work to do this every time. Advertisements also remain visible in these playlists, although you will only see them at the end of the list.
Snapchat indicates that the new Story Playlist is already available to various users, and will slowly but surely appear in the app for everyone. So it may take a while before you can get started, which often happens with these kinds of gradual updates.
