Ford left less than a month between the facelift of the Fiesta and the Focus. We did that for ‘Facelift Friday’, but of course the larger model also has to believe it.
Ford pushed forward a heavily facelifted Fiesta in September, to come up with a sharpened Focus in October. The cars have become more, rather than less alike, from those touchpoint sessions. We also see sharper, pointed LED headlights on the Focus. The top is a bit more linear, which makes the car look more confident than the original model.
The grille, which is completely framed by the front bumper, also has a new shape. The fencing is placed just a little higher in the nose, has a more angular shape and flattened sides. Of course, the bumper itself also has to believe. We see differently lined and shaped air inlets, although things are even stronger than before, depending on the version. Ford puts even more emphasis on the different ‘lines’, namely Titanium (‘normal’), Active (‘tough’) and ST-line (‘sporty’).
At the rear, the changes are minimal. The observant viewer sees a different form of the LED content of the rear lights, but apart from that everything remains the same. This brings us back to today’s question: is this facelift an improvement? With the Fiesta 55 percent of you thought so, so we’re curious if the same trick for the Focus also works!
