The new Ford Mustang only comes to the Netherlands with eight cylinders and the 500 hp sporty top version that listens to the name Dark Horse will also warm our cold little country with its presence. The Texans of Hennessey Performance prove that the V8 of the Ford Mustang Dark Horse can handle more.
John Hennessey and his cronies do nothing more than pump models from American manufacturers with dizzying amounts of horsepower. The Ford Mustang also cannot escape the clutches of Hennessey Performance. The Mustang Dark Horse naturally has a 500 hp and 567 Nm strong 5.0 V8, but thanks to the involvement of the tuner it delivers 850 hp and 881 Nm of torque. Indeed: about 70 percent more horsepower than the original.
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse, dressed up by Hennessey Performance, is called H850 Mustang Dark Horse and owes its power to, among other things, the arrival of a heavy supercharger, new injectors, a modified fuel pump and a rewritten engine management system. The Texans bring a range of carbon fiber exterior touches to the Mustang, including a rear spoiler, front splitter and side skirts. Special alloy, Hennessey badging both inside and out and what Hennessey Performance calls ‘Heritage’ decal work is an option.
