Ford Ranger Raptor comes as a Special Edition

Ford comes with a special edition of the Ranger Raptor. In any case, it remains simple in terms of naming, because the version is also called ‘Special Edition’. The differences are purely cosmetic in nature.

The Ranger Raptor Special Edition is clearly recognizable from the outside. This is mainly due to the black racing stripes with a red border, which continue over the roof from the hood and can also be seen on the tailgate. Ford also drapes a line across the body of the Ranger on the side. It is located at the bottom of the doors and rises backwards towards the Raptor logo. In addition, the towing eyes in the front bumper are in red and the front and rear bumpers, the edges of the fenders, the door handles and the grille are in matte black.

In the interior of the Ranger Special Edition, Ford continues the theme of the red accents. The stitching of the seats, steering wheel, dashboard and door panels are finished in red and the seats themselves are covered in a combination of black and gray leather. In addition, the Ranger Special Edition has an instrument panel in the color ‘Raceway Gray’. From a technical point of view, the Ranger Raptor has not been modified. That means that under the hood is still a 2.3-liter EcoBoost diesel engine with 213 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The pick-up also stands on a reinforced chassis with Fox dampers and a 150 mm wider track.

The Ranger Raptor Special Edition will be at the Ford dealer in October. Ford Netherlands confirms opposite Techzle that it will also come to the Dutch market. The price is not known yet.
