The fourth edition of Honda Adventure Roads will take place in Morocco in 2024. It is the first of three annual events, which will take place in 3 different continents. Honda Adventure Roads has an all-inclusive package including motorcycle, guiding, food and accommodation and has room for 30 participants per event.
Following on from the immense tour of Iceland’s unique landscapes in 2022, Honda Adventure Roads will open a new chapter next year with the first of three annual events, each taking place on a different continent. In 2024, Honda will once again send Adventure Roads to Africa, covering more than 2,800 km through Morocco’s rolling dunes and mountainous landscapes. The track is designed to test the skills of even the most experienced off-road riders.
The Honda Adventure Roads story began way back in 2017 with an epic 3,500 km journey over 8 days from Oslo to the North Cape – the northernmost point of Europe – on the CRF1000L Africa Twin. During the second edition in 2019, Africa Twin riders traversed 3,700 km of South Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes in a 12-day adventure-packed journey. The most recent edition of this extraordinary event took place in Iceland in July 2022, with 30 riders taking on the challenge of tackling snowy mountains, icy riverbeds and some of the toughest weather conditions yet.
In 2024, Honda Motor Europe will again offer 30 participants an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. This time the adventure begins in Agadir on the west coast of Morocco, from where riders will steer east to the dunes of Erg Chebbi at Gara Medouar, through the Atlas Mountains and thrilling Dades Canyon, before winding their way north to the final destination. the city of Nador.
In addition to the breathtaking terrain, dotted with historic mountain passes and dune runs where endurance is tested, riders can also get a taste of Moroccan culture while staying in traditional bivouacs and enjoy Gnaoua music under an African starry sky.
Once again this year, Honda Adventure Roads riders will take their place in the saddle of Honda’s flagship CRF1100L Africa Twin. The engines will again be provided by Honda, with all necessary accessories, and competitors will have the choice between a manual transmission or Honda’s unique Dual Clutch Transmission. The turnkey package also includes all first-class accommodation, luggage transport, food, navigation, fuel and medical support.
The participants ride under the guidance of drivers, but are also equipped with the Tripy II GPS system. For even more peace of mind, the Owaka live tracking system monitors their location even deep in the Moroccan desert.
To complete the unique experience of Honda Adventure Roads, participants will once again have the opportunity to ride alongside Honda Racing Corporation’s Dakar riders from the Monster Energy Honda Team and benefit from the expert guidance of these world-class athletes .
