Euro NCAP has reduced another line of new cars to a lot of scrap in the name of safety. The Genesis G80 and GV80 can immediately prove themselves now that they are in Europe. The Citroën ë-C4 and BMW’s 4-series Coupé and Cabrio also have to believe.
If Genesis impresses potential buyers as much as it does Euro NCAP, it will be a success. Both the G80 and the GV80 run off with the maximum score after various crash tests. The GV80 is especially impressive when it comes to protecting occupants in the event of a side impact. The protection of children in the car is also well-organized and the wide range of standard safety systems and their operation impress Euro NCAP. The GV80 is slightly less safe for pedestrians in the event of a collision than the G80, but still enough to get a total score of five stars for both cars.
The fully electric Citroën ë-C4 has also been shattered by Euro NCAP. The Frenchman is doing well, although a maximum score is a bit too much to ask. The ë-C4 gets four stars. The protection of adult occupants and pedestrians as well as the existing safety systems are just not enough to get the full five-star rating. Nevertheless, the experts are certainly not dissatisfied with the safety of the ë-C4.
Finally, Euro NCAP has also pounded a number of BMW’s 4-Series Coupé and Convertible into a lot of twisted steel. The institute emphasizes that these tests were largely to verify previous results with the BMW 3 Series. After all, the 4-series shares its basis with this. The tests with the 4 series have confirmed the suspicion that these cars would also hold up well. Both the Coupé and Cabrio are awarded five stars.
