Genesis has a taste for it. Hyundai’s luxury brand, which is currently mainly active in North America and South Korea, shows in a video part of its future models.
Genesis presented in a relatively short time the thoroughly facelifted G80 and its very first SUV: the GV80. Recently, the Koreans introduced the all-new G80 to the world and from previous spy photos we could already conclude that the brand also has a smaller SUV on the shelves. That newcomer seems to be announced in a video of the new G80 together with another hitherto unknown model.
In a shadowy image that Genesis shows in the video in question, six cars are visible, all of which are facing the camera. From left to right we see successively the GV80, its smaller GV70 brother and the recently presented completely new G80. The fourth car from the left raises question marks. We see a new, relatively low model that, like the recent Genesis models, features the distinctive light signature consisting of two clean horizontal lines. The facelifted G70 may be located here. The G70 is Genesis’ alternative to cars like the BMW 3 Series presented in 2017 and currently has to do without those Genesis-typical lighting. In the corridors it is whispered that the G70 will be joined by a station brother. In this shadowy image, the fourth model from the left could just be that new G70 version. The last two models seem to be two well-known study models: the Essentia Concept and the Mint Concept.
Genesis is not yet active in Europe. The brand first wants to gain a firm foothold in both the home market and the North American car market.
