GM is already showing three new EVs

General Motors is already anticipating the facts. In a webinar in which the company announces its new EV plans, three new EVs can be seen that GM will soon come up with.

Of the three models that appear, one was already more or less known. GMC previously showed a teaser image of the SUV variant of the Hummer EV. That SUV is now fully in the picture. The appearance is in line with expectations, because apart from the closed rear, it does not seem to differ from its pick-up brother. The drivetrain is most likely the same, which means the top version is rated at 1,014 horsepower. A final announcement will follow at a later stage.

That also applies to the other two EVs that GM shows in the video. The group’s plans state that thirty new EVs will be added by 2025. Initially, Cadillac, GMC and Chevrolet will each come with four EVs. Buick gets two EVs in the model range. Chevrolet’s electric pickup is the most visible. It is not yet known whether this will also be called Silverado. However, this will be an important car for Chevrolet, because the pick-up market in America is still very large. In the background is a car that looks more like a crossover. That could possibly be Chevrolet’s electric crossover, as GM already mentioned in the press release.

GM has not yet released any specifications about the models shown. It is true that they are all expected to be placed on the Ultium platform, the modular EV base of the group. Final product announcements are expected to follow shortly.
