Google Pixel 7a
Pixel 7a is the latest A-series phone with all the helpfulness of Google at a great price. The phone is based on the Google Tensor G2 chip, which should make the device faster, more efficient and more secure. In addition, the phone has features such as Face Unlock, a 90Hz screen and wireless charging. You can choose from four colors to suit your style: charcoal, snow, sea blue and coral. New Google Pixel Tablet
The Pixel Tablet is equipped with the latest Android features, built-in Chromecast and the Google Tensor G2 chip. By pairing the Pixel Tablet with the accompanying charging dock, it becomes part of your home. The tablet goes into Hub mode, making it hands-free to use, for example, to listen to music, watch YouTube videos, as an alarm clock or as a digital photo frame. The Pixel Tablet comes in the colors gray-green and porcelain and has an aluminum housing with a nano-ceramic coating and rounded edges. Google Maps launches Immersive View for routes
Over the past year, we’ve continued to evolve Maps by launching new visual capabilities such as Live View and Immersive View. Through the continuous improvement of AI, we are introducing a whole new way to discover your route before you hit the road. With Immersive View for routes, you can visualize every part of your route in advance – whether you are driving, walking or cycling. Immersive View for routes will be rolled out in several cities in the coming months, including Amsterdam.
Search with generative AI
In the US, we are introducing an English-language experiment with generative AI in Google Search (Search Generative Experience), ushering in a new era of information acquisition. After your search query, you will see an AI-driven snapshot with important information and relevant links. This makes it easier to understand something faster and discover new insights.
It also makes it easier to see relevant information while shopping online. When a product is searched, you will see a snapshot with, among other things, associated products, current reviews, product images and prices. The experiment is separate from the normal search engine.
Magic Editor in Google Photos
We’re launching Magic Editor, a new tool that uses generative AI to edit and reshape photos. For example, it is possible to improve the entire composition of the photo by moving the subject in the photo to a different place and immediately filling in the gaps after you have moved the subject. It is also possible to brighten the photo or remove objects in the photo easily. Magic Editor is coming to Pixel later this year.

PaLM 2 is Google’s new generation large language model
PaLM 2 is the new generation large language model. The model is good at arithmetic, coding, reasoning and multilingual translation. It uses the latest JAX and TPU v4 infrastructure, making it more efficient and easier to train. Its smaller size and use of optimal scaling make it more efficient to operate and perform better.

According to Google, keeping users safe is Google’s priority and that starts with building products that are secure, privacy-friendly and put users in control. New features such as safe browsing were announced during I/O. Safe browsing uses artificial intelligence to warn users about dangerous websites and files, helping to prevent scams faster. In addition, Google is building a future without passwords with passkey sign-in. This makes it easier and more secure to sign in with a Google account.
