Google Pixel 7 appears in images and video

Several images of the Google Pixel 7 have appeared. These are renders that are made and designed from information already available about the smartphone. In the captured images we see, among other things, a slightly smaller screen, two cameras and a familiar, but refined, design.

The Google Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro were launched last October and less than two months later the first renders of their successors appeared. You can read more about this in the articles below. Today images and specifications of the upcoming Google Pixel 7 are added. LetsGoDigital shows a series of renders, which they in collaboration with Technico Concept have obtained.

More compact design and new processor

According to LetsGoDigital, the Google Pixel 7 will have a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This makes the screen 0.1 inch smaller than its predecessor and the device will therefore be slightly more compact. This will be reinforced because the device will have to get smaller screen edges. The materials used for the device should remain the same, so the Google Pixel 7 will be made of glass on the front and back and have an aluminum frame.

In all likelihood, the Pixel 7 will be powered by Google’s second-generation Tensor chipset. This ‘unnamed Exynos chipset’ will be equipped with a Samsung Exynos 5300 modem. The standard version of the device will have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. There will also be a variant with 256 GB of storage capacity.

Cameras unchanged

Little is known about the cameras of the Pixel 7. It is expected that the device will have the same camera setup as that of its predecessor. Google has always used the same 12 MP camera sensor from the Pixel 2 to the Google Pixel 5. The company did manage to improve the photos with software.

The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro got a new and much larger 50MP sensor. Google’s history makes us think they’re going to repeat their previous trick. The same sensor, from which increasingly better photos can be obtained through software improvements. And in principle this is pretty good news, because the longer a manufacturer uses one sensor, the longer the company has the chance to get to know it and get the most out of it. This compared to manufacturers who, for example, choose to use a new sensor every year, which they have to get to know again and therefore have to be refined again and again.

Release, price and reliability

Normally, Google presents its new smartphones in October, but according to the latest rumors, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will be launched a month earlier. The famous rumor spreader Ross Young reports on Twitter that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro would be launched in September this year. The prices of the devices should remain the same. The devices will probably not be officially released in the Netherlands again.

The renders from this article are, as mentioned before, made by Technico Concept† He derived his designs from previously published information about the aircraft. You should therefore take the images with a grain of salt, although the images do correspond somewhat with previous renders.
