The Google Pixel Watch 3 is a smart watch with excellent hardware and software and now also for sale as a 45mm model. Interesting, but read our review what the Google Pixel Watch 3 really offers.

Google has been working on the road with all kinds of hardware for a lot of years, such as the Chromecast successor Google TV streamer 4K (2024), smartphones such as the Pixel 9 Pro and the striking Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and also smartwatches. From the latter category we tested the Watch 3 (41mm review copy) here with a number of improvements compared to the previous model: the Google Pixel Watch 2. The design does not deviate much further and the Watch 3 only works with an Android -telephone.
Design Google Pixel Watch 3
There is only one model and that consists of rounded Gorilla Glass 5 on the front contained in an aluminum cabinet in silver color with the sensors at the bottom. There are two sizes: 41 and 45 mm and 4 different plastic color bands: porcelain, pink, quartz and gray -green. The 41mm is for the narrower wrist. One of the straps is included in two lengths and is easy to replace. This Active band Is durable and is comfortable, because made of waterproof fluorelasta lake with a soft coating.
On the right we see a well -operated crown and above it a somewhat hidden push button. The whole looks sleek and elegant, but lacks a sporty look. The advantage of the 45mm model is that it fits better with a somewhat large wrist, the readability is better and the battery is greater. The whole wears light and comfortable with a weight of only 31/37 grams. The whole meets the IP68 classification and is therefore dust and waterproof and water-resistant up to 50 meters for a maximum of 10 minutes.
Screen Google Pixel Watch 3
The ‘cupboard’ is now also available in a 45mm version, which also increases the display. In addition, the edges of both models are narrowed, which greatly improves readability. The brightness has been increased from 1000 to a maximum of 2000 Nits, making it legible under all circumstances.
Technology Google Pixel Watch 3
The processor has not changed and is still the Snapdragon W5 that responds quickly and reflects everything smoothly. The Wear OS 5 operating system has been adjusted, but navigation has not changed and comes with 3 years of software updates. A number of new dials have been added, so that there is a wide choice from various styles. The input of the many sensors is processed and made visible on the watch and synchronized with the Fitbit app for health and fitness tracking. Two new statistics have been added. Is so Cardio Load To easily display a summary of your activities and assess with a grade and Readiness Indicates with a number (1..100) how far your body has recovered from the previous day after a night’s sleep. The running functions have been adjusted and give you coaching on the way and afterwards it will be Running Dashboard Updated. A Fitbit Premium subscription can be ordered for advanced management of the workouts. This is the first 6 months free and then € 8.99 per month or € 79.99 per year.
Battery Google Pixel Watch 3
The battery lasts at least 24 hours, even if the screen is always active. For minimal data loss it is therefore useful to put the Watch 3 on the charger every morning during breakfast. The battery is full again within half an hour.
Conclusion Google Pixel Watch 3
The Google Pixel Watch 3 is a smart watch with a solid construction and beautiful hardware and software. You have to address the model with the convex glass and will still be more sensitive to damage. It is great that there is now also a version with 45 mm size available.
