A mysterious new Google device has surfaced at the US regulator FCC. It is a ‘wireless device’ with no indication of a product name or type. Fortunately, you can find more information about this device in the small print of the application.
New Google wireless device
The mysterious device bears the model number G28DR as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, according to the FCC Application. This indicates that the Google device can connect to other devices. We may be dealing with a Nest device here.
It also appears to have a 3.65V battery inside and the device was also connected to a laptop for one of the tests. That suggests that the device can be charged via a USB connection. There is no support for UWB, NFC and the mobile network, so it will not be a new Pixel phone. A new Chromecast is also unlikely due to the battery.
It is most likely a Nest product, such as a new Nest speaker or a Nest thermostat. A new Google Nest Wifi router with wifi 6 like we saw here is also very possible. Given Google’s past habits, a launch this fall seems most likely. Google is also launching the Pixel 7 series.
What do you hope to see in hardware from Google later this year? Let us know in the comments!
Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery)
The Nest Cam (Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) is Google’s first battery-powered camera for both outdoor and indoor use,
and he detects important events taking place in and around the house. You can also indicate certain zones on the screen about which you want to receive notifications and even filter on people, pets and vehicles. In the case of the Nest Doorbell, you can also receive a notification when a package is at the door.
