‘Green iPhone 13 on the way at Apple event’

Almost 24 hours before the first Apple event of 2022, we come across a final rumor. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini would be announced in a new color. Read more in this article!

‘Launch green iPhone 13 (mini)’

According to YouTube tech host Luke Miani, we will see a (dark) green iPhone 13 and a green iPhone 13 mini appear at Apple’s spring event tonight. While this source isn’t always right, we really like these new spring colors for Apple’s current flagship.

Last year around this time, Apple also launched an iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini with a new color. Then it turned purple. However, this new shade of iPhone seemed like a fill-in for missing out on a new smartphone at that event. This year we do expect the iPhone SE 2022 (3rd generation) with 5G and the fast A15 chip. We also (unfortunately) expect the iPhone SE 2020 design with 4.7-inch Retina display and home button.

It is therefore unclear whether this renders will actually see the light of day. We also do not know whether the new color will apply to the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

‘We also see a new purple iPad Air appearing’

Mianic reports at the same time as this news that we can also expect an iPad Air in a new color. The light purple-gray shade is already available for the iPad mini, but is now also expected to come to the Air version.

At the first Apple event of 2022, the rumors have been about a new iPad Air for a while. This would come with the A15 chip, which we also find in the iPhone 13, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with Center Stage and 5G support. The quad-LED screen supports Apple’s True Tone technology. The screen automatically adjusts to the ambient light.

Apple’s ‘Peek Performance’ event

The Apple event is called “Peek Performance” and starts on March 8 at 7:00 PM. We see another live stream without a live audience. So we expect a slick video production from Apple. In this, we think we’re going to hear about a new iPad Air, expect “a new Mac,” and we’re pretty sure we’ll see the new iPhone SE 2022.

The Apple event can be followed via a live stream on Apple’s YouTube channel. Of course we will do a live report of the evening. Keep an eye on this website so you don’t miss anything. Or, follow us through the free iPhoned app and the newsletter.
