Hennessey lifts McLaren 765LT to 1,000 hp

For those who find the McLaren 765LT’s power inadequate, there is good news. The Texan tuner Hennessey Performance has taken care of the supercar with various upgrades to the technology. The result? 1,000 horsepower.

Hennessey is certainly no stranger to putting large assets on the road. The tuner is working on a new version of the Venom, which should be able to hit 500 km / h on paper, and recently presented a pumped-up version of the Dodge Ram TRX with more than 1,000 hp. Now the tuner has violated the McLaren 765LT. By default, that is not a childish car, but now the power has as many figures as the number of exhausts: four pieces. The HPE 1000 tuning package gives the 765LT 1,000 hp. The V8 releases all that power to the rear wheels. Hennessey does not state how much torque the block delivers. However, the McLaren must be able to sprint to 100 km / h in 2.1 seconds. Can you at least keep a Tesla Model S Plaid in the future.

Responsible for the increase in power are improved air filters, an ECU upgrade and a modified exhaust with stainless steel downpipe. Hennessey also calibrates the car for you on the rollers. The tuner does not change the exterior. The company does stick Hennessey emblems here and there on the body of the supercar and the car gets a plaque on the dashboard and the engine with the production number on it. It will be rare anyway, as McLaren only builds 765 copies of the 765LT to begin with. The total amount of the upgrades will be $ 24,950, which is equivalent to € 20,904, excluding taxes. Given the starting price of € 412,000 for the supercar, it is relatively easy.
