F-150 Raptor V8 with more
Hennessey has previously gone wild on the Ford F-150 Raptor, but that was before Ford also unveiled a V8 version. That already extra strong Raptor has now also passed the American tuner and returned with an insane amount of power.
Ford presented the long-awaited Raptor version of the current F-150 almost two years ago. To the disappointment of some, it again had a V6 and no V8 as a power source. However, it didn’t stop Hennessey from turning it into an extra strong Velociraptor. Nice and nice, the 600 hp that Hennessey managed to pull out of the V6, but then Ford came up with the F-150 Raptor R with V8 that went over it with 700 hp. For Hennessey, that is of course the perfect basis for even more.
The result is this Velociraptor 1000, which, as its name implies, draws no less than 1,000 horsepower from the eight-cylinder. This is possible, among other things, by replacing the already quite large 2.65 liter supercharger with one of no less than 3.8 liters. The fuel injectors have also been exchanged for larger ones and the fuel lines have been modified. Incidentally, the Velociraptor is still ‘mild’ in terms of power if you consider that Hennessey has even managed to get the same 5.2 V8 up to 1,200 hp in the Ford Mustang.
Of course, there is not only something happening under the hood, because Hennessey also provides the Velociraptor with special stickers, larger 20-inch wheels, modified ‘more aggressively shaped’ bumpers and an extra block with LED lighting in the front bumper. In the new year, Hennessey will begin transforming Ford’s F-150 Raptor R into a Velociraptor 1000.
